Best Podcast

Whether publishing regular industry content or original journalism, judges want to hear podcasts that give a unique insight into an aspect of architecture in ways that are fresh, personable and inclusive.

Outstanding entries in this category will include shows that reflect architecture’s diversity of ideas and give listeners new angles on the building and architects they love, with genuine and passionate presentation.

Podcasts about work and careers, including in-depth interviews with experts, are also welcome.

This category accepts entries from practices and individuals, including professional journalists, online magazines and companies on condition that the subject being discussed is architecture.

The podcast must have had at least three episodes recorded between 2020-2021.

Criteria

Engagement Does the podcast quickly engage and pull in its audience? Are there any relevant statistics to show plays, finishes or likes? Does the podcast have a regular release schedule?
Relevance Does the choice of subject make sense given its audience? Does it provide valuable content on a topic that the audience wants to know about? Is it enjoyable to listen to?
Clarity Is the tone focused and clear? Is the audio good quality? Is there a clear CTA to subscribe, follow or favourite?

  • Grant Gibson

    Grant Gibson is a UK-based design, craft and architecture writer and podcaster. A former editor of Blueprint, his podcast Material Matters won this category in 2020.
