The Archiboo Awards champion the powerful ways architecture is communicated throughout the world.
Each year, awards are given to the most exceptional work within a particular category. These categories encompass website design, podcasts, writing, film and social media platforms.
The awards were established at a pivotal time when digital technologies were redefining how the profession perceived itself and its intended message. Social media platforms and communication channels, such as YouTube, democratised information and significantly expanded the global reach of architects.
In 2021, The Archiboo Awards inaugurated the Activism Award, which serves to recognize and champion architects who are undertaking direct action to tackle key issues within the built environment.
In 2025 we added an award for artificial intelligence (AI) which, like the Internet 25 years ago, will redefine the profession.
All categories are rigorously assessed by a panel of three judges, which often includes the winner from the preceding year.
There are two distinct judging stages: the first to determine the shortlist, and the second to select the ultimate winner. Winners are formally announced at a prestigious ceremony held in central London.
